Riese & Müller Load 5 · the serious cargo

Sell the second car.

Two kids in the front, in a box where you can see them. A week's shop on top. Full suspension on both wheels for Dublin potholes and Cork hills. The Load 5 is the cargo bike that ends the second-car conversation for good.

From €9,750 · ~€120/mo via Cycle to Work · In stock at all 3 stores
Riese & Müller Load 5 in arctic blue
Two kids in front

In a foam-lined box, eye contact maintained, 5-point harness as standard. The bike you can have a conversation on.

200 kg payload

A full weekly shop. Two kids and a buggy. A garden centre haul. The Load 5 stops feeling like a bike and starts feeling like a van.

Full suspension

Front and rear. The only cargo bike that absorbs an Irish pothole at 25 km/h with the kids on board. You feel the bike, not the road.

Why the Load 5

The only cargo bike with full suspension.

Every other front-loader cargo bike on the Irish market gives you one suspension fork at the front and a rigid rear. The Load 5 is the only one engineered with full suspension on both ends — a Suntour Aion air shock at the rear, matched to a Suntour fork at the front. The difference is the difference between riding a city bike and riding a tractor.

It matters because cargo bikes carry weight on uneven ground every day. School run. Recycling run. Garden centre. With two kids and a 60-litre shop on board, full suspension is what stops your bike feeling like a wheelbarrow at 20 km/h. It's why R&M Load owners stay loyal for ten years and don't switch to anything else.

Two builds, one box

Load 75 vario, or Load 60.

Riese & Müller builds the Load in two wheelbases. The 75 is the family bike. The 60 is the urban delivery bike. Almost every Irish family buys the 75; almost every business buys the 60.

Load 75 vario FAMILY PICK

Two kids in the box, picnic on top. Enviolo continuously-variable hub, Gates belt drive, full suspension, Bosch CX. The one most Irish families buy.

From €9,750
Load 60

Tighter wheelbase. Same drivetrain. Easier to park, easier to manoeuvre, slightly smaller box. The build for last-mile delivery and tighter urban routes.

From €9,250
The spec, no marketing

Why GreenAer

Why people don't buy this online.

A €9,750 cargo bike that arrives in a box and never gets fitted is not a €9,750 cargo bike. Four reasons our customers walk in instead of clicking checkout.

Ride before you buy

Direct-to-consumer cargo bikes arrive in a crate. Ours arrive after you've ridden one with your kids strapped into the box, on the route you'd actually use.

Fitted by people who ride one

Saddle, bars, brake reach, child seats. Set up in 5 minutes by someone who's spent years on a Load themselves.

Workshop that knows the bike

Authorised by Riese & Müller. Bosch certified. Year one service included. Loaner cargo bike if yours needs longer.

Since 2009, same team

Jack in Sandyford, Alan in Mullingar, Robbie in Cork. Sells you the bike, services it, picks up the phone three years later.

Strap the kids in. Then ride it.

We'll have a Load 5 sized, the rain canopy on if it's wet, and the kids' seats fitted before you arrive. Bring the family. Ride a real route. 30 minutes is enough.
